| First day of the bike tour to Everest Base Camp. |
| We headed from Kathmandu to a small village (still in Nepal) very close to the Nepal - Tibet border. As, the Chinese control that border. We expected delays at the border. So, wanted to be able to get there nice and early. To ensure, that once we got through the border check point, we had enough time to get to our destination the next day. |

| I managed to have 3 minor offs before lunch time. Doh!!! |
| Luckily, they were low speed offs. A little damage to the bike. The crash bars did their job, admirably. A small bruise and dented pride but nothing to stop me riding. Although, I did put my back out picking the bike up after the 3rd off. Boy, that hurt for a few days!!! |

| Double lucky for me was . . . the rest of the day, and the rest of the holiday, were off free for me. |
