Visited this resort in 2006, and found it quite good for a short break. So 1 plane and 2 trains later we were at Englelberg again.
In 2006 we did a long weekend (3 days), but this year we decided to go during the week. Which gave us 4 days there, at the same price for the 3 days over the weekend.
This year I decided to bring my own Ski boots but hire a pair of the new Carver style Skis, and see if they were any good. It also saved me lugging my 15 year old skis on and off the trains.
Snow was OK. We were luck that some feel when we first arrived. But it melted pretty quick, especially at the lower altitudes.
Again the Food was excellent and plenty of it.
The joining of the Virgin Gym at Christmas worked wonders. Unlike last year I was fit enough to full enjoy the skiing.
