What happened today . . .

Today we left the beach behind and headed into more rural parts of India. Our route took in Jog Falls, India's tallest waterfall. Although, at this time of year, it's only a trickle. If you want to see it in full flow, you need to come back during the monsoons !!!

At Jog Falls there were lots of monkeys and several traders cooking and selling mummy banana pancakes. Pancakes was a loose description as, I'm pretty sure they weren't following an recipe I've heard of. Still they tasted good and that's all that mattered.

We also came across a school, whose children were out in the playground practicing some kind of marching to a beating drum. I’m sure it was all quite normal but, to me it just seemed so out of place.

Tonight we stayed at : RNS Residency
