So, what do I think of this Bike ???

Well I was always going to like this bike. . . . It's a 2-stroke
Boo!!

When I first purchased it. it was stolen recovered, Cat.D
The original body work was damaged and, on my first ride out, the tail piece fell off !!!

This got me thinking and looking around the internet. I found a bodywork kit that looked great. The company also did expansion chambers for the bike.
So, a shopping list was born . . .
  • Tyga Body Kit
  • Tyga Top Yoke
  • Tyga Rear Sets
  • Tyga GP style Expansion Chambers
  • Fibre, 2 stage, Inlet Reeds
  • Kawazaski 600 front forks with Radial Brakes
  • And a new Paint Job
  •
Now for a bit of history. The Bike was registered in 2002. Marco Melandri won the 250 GP Championship on an Aprilia 250 in 2002
Yeah, OK I know an RS250 is very different from Marco's bike. But, my riding style is also a little different. It's possible I may be a little slower !!!
So, I took some Photos of Marco's bike to my mate Don (at BoyzToyz Paint Shop) and ask him to come up with a Paint Job that was a tribute to Marco's winning bike.
Well all I can say is,

"WOW and a huge thanks" to Don

What he came up with and painted for me was just magnificent.

Apart from the Expasions Chanbers, a K&N Filter in the airbox, and 2 stage Fibre Inlet Reeds the engine is standard.
To set the engine up properly I took the bike to Bob Farnham. Who Dyno'ed the bike and set up the Carbs for me.
53 BH Power & 25 ft/lb torque. Not bad for a 250cc bike and plenty fast enough for me.

I will admit, I can't do the bike justice. I'm just no a good enough rider. But, it is sooooooo much fun !!!
